Graduating MEMS senior Izzy Dudlyke has combined Duke's strengths in engineering and the liberal arts to pursue her dream of working on movie sets and entertainment projects.

Senior Spotlight: Izzy Dudlyke

Movie sets and engineering projects may not sound like they have a lot in common, but they do. Both often require creative problem-solving and an ability to think outside of the box while making do with what’s on hand.

Graduating senior Izzy Dudlyke chose to come to Duke University from the United Kingdom for its unique blend of engineering and liberal arts opportunities. Throughout her education, she has found the two seemingly disparate disciplines to be extremely complementary. Armed with a degree in mechanical engineering and a minor in cinematic arts, she’s ready to chase her dreams of working on movie sets or other entertainment projects like animatronics.
