Bag and Other Items Policy

  • All graduates and guests entering Cameron Indoor Stadium for the BSE Ceremony on Sunday, May 10 will be screened through metal detectors before entry. To expedite security screening, we encourage you to leave personal belongings in your vehicle or hotel room. 
  • If a bag is needed, it must be no larger than 12″ x 12″ x 6″. Bags and items larger than 12” x 12” x 6” (including backpacks, duffel bags, large purses, suitcases, etc.) are prohibited from entering the venue. Please leave such items in personal vehicles or hotel rooms. 
  • Other prohibited items include wrapped gifts, banners, flags, signs, flowers, balloons, confetti, and glitter.
  • If bags are required for medical or childcare reasons, clear bags (12” x 12” x 6” or smaller) are highly recommended to expedite entry and minimize touchpoints.
  • If larger items are required for medical needs or accessibility, please contact Duke Access & Accommodation Services for additional information and accommodations.
