Message Regarding Laboratory Research Being Curtailed

March 17, 2020

Sent on behalf of Sr. Associate Dean George Truskey:

In an message today, Vice President for Research Larry Carin announced that all laboratory PIs should begin to activate their wind-down plans effective now, 03/17/2020.  These plans, which were requested by VPR Carin on March 15, were when enacted to allow the suspension of activities requiring physical access to the Duke campus.

The plan should take approximately 48 hours to execute, and should allow for a suspension of a minimum of two months.  Thus, you should begin the wind-down process so that by the evening of Thursday, March 19, operations would be maintained as described in today’s message.

If you have questions, please contact me at george.truskey@duke.edu.

George A. Truskey
Sr. Associate Dean for Research
