How I've made the most of my Duke experience...

My Duke experience has been an enriching combination of co-curricular activities, relationships with professors and peers, and rewarding research. I am a sophomore biomedical engineering major and I am also on the pre-med track.

Where I see myself after Duke...

After Duke, I plan on attending medical school as well as conducting clinical research.

How I like to spend my free time...

In my free time, I love to watch Netflix, listen to music or an audiobook, go for runs, and hang out with friends. And of course, watching basketball games in Cameron!

My favorite class(es) at Duke...

EGR 101 was by far my favorite class at Duke! It was so hands-on and I got to work with a client at Duke Med to engineer a solution to a real problem with their bioreactors.

Resources I love to use at Duke...

The ARC (Academic Resource Center) has tons of drop-in tutoring and study groups that I have really benefitted from. I also love taking advantage of the activities at the Wellness Center.

Co-Curricular/Engagement Experiences...

While at Duke, I have gotten to build prosthetics for community members through Duke Enable, spread the Duke Community Standard as a member of Duke Honor Council, and research drug repurposing for the treatment of glioblastoma, a very aggressive form of brain cancer, by working for Duke Med's Glioblastoma Drug Discovery Group.
