How I've made the most of my Duke experience...
During my first semester at Duke, I had the opportunity to be on an Indian dance team and join Duke DIYA. I am also a A. James Clark Scholar and am a part of the Smart Home club and residential program. I've also participated in Hack Duke as well as a week-long trip to West Virginia sponsored by Duke Engineers for International Development (DEID). During summer 2020, I worked with Duke Fast Track to help develop and evaluate a biomedical engineering project that will hopefully be used during laparoscopic surgery.
Where I see myself after Duke...
After Duke I can see myself in so many career fields! I am currently thinking about medical, veterinary, or pharmacy school, or working in the biotechnology industry. I'm also interested in the aerospace industry and possibly patent law. I hope to narrow down these options by exploring these fields through internships or clinical experiences.
How I like to spend my free time...
I love listening to lofi hip hop music, cooking vegetarian food, and creating aesthetic layouts using Pinterest photos. I also really like hiking, exploring nature, thrifting, and tea.
My favorite class(es) at Duke...
A classic: Engineering 101
Resources I love to use at Duke...
I couldn't have made it through my first year without my Pratt dean, Duke CAPS, the writing studio, office hours, and most importantly, the math help room!
