Welcome

Our Graduate Student Programs and Services (GSPS) team offers engineering master’s and PhD students a wide variety of opportunities to enrich their student experience, learn new skills, and help build a vibrant Duke engineering community. We provide our students resources that they can use in the classroom, in their professional endeavors, and in their personal lives.

From the application process to graduation and beyond, our team is here to help!

Graduate Communications and Intercultural Programs (GCIP) offers a broad scope of services for all engineering master’s and PhD students who would like help with oral or written communication. They teach classes and facilitate workshops for groups and they offer one-on-one meetings for students who prefer individualized attention. Their services range from improving English proficiency to assistance with writing and defending doctoral dissertations.

Career Services helps students prepare for entering the workforce by offering individualized resume and cover letter services and tips on how to stand out in a crowded field of job applicants. They also offer focused one-on-one sessions with students who are in any part of the job application process.

Student Engagement and Support (SES) is dedicated to the health and well-being of our master’s and PhD students. The team offers Health and Wellness Coaching sessions, one-on-one meetings with students, and referrals to the numerous health and wellness resources on campus. Every semester, SES hosts several social events that encourage students to be active members of the Duke engineering community.
