Additional Approval for Graduate Student Events No Longer Required

Dear Pratt Graduate & Professional Students:

We wanted to provide you with an update on the COVID-related policy requiring additional approval to hold graduate student events within the Pratt School of Engineering.

Please be aware—effective immediately, this policy is rescinded. No additional approval is required for graduate student events within Pratt.

We are delighted to be able to rescind this policy, decision which is in accordance with recent updates to Duke University public health measures. The events-approval policy had been in effect at Pratt since Sept. 16, 2021.

However, please be aware that the pandemic is not over. Public health policies and measures are subject to change as conditions change—including and not limited to reinstatement of the event-approval policy, if necessary. We will be sure to communicate any change with you.
