Lisa Val Verde (MEM '08)

Lisa Val Verde (bio below) will talk with students about working in engineering roles as a woman and how to best support women in the engineering field. Lisa Val Verde is an experienced business leader and an alum of Duke's Master of Engineering Management program. As Medtronic's Marketing Manager for the Asia Pacific, she oversees $42M in regional business and sales performance, alongside the regional business director. She's forged strategic partnerships to drive key business development activities - including clinical study to establish a new model of patient care, commercial pilots, and an artificial intelligence development program. Previously, Lisa was the principal global product manager at Medtronic, where she drove new product adoption and global growth through commercial excellence. She is a co-founder of Wildernest, a company that supports female entrepreneurship. In addition to her master's degree in engineering management from Duke University, she has a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering from the University of California-Santa Barbara. Location A light breakfast will be provided.
