UThrive: How to Succeed in College and Beyond

A special event featuring author Daniel Lerner
Featuring highlights from Daniel Lerner's popular NYU class "The Science of Happiness," this talk will help Duke students make the best of these crucial four years, both inside and outside of the classroom.
An engaging and interactive speaker, Lerner will share tips on cultivating optimism and resilience
He will reveal the science behind why positive thinking can lead to better grades, a more satisfying social experience, better levels of performance on the stage, field, and in the classroom, and even higher post-grad salaries.
This 60-minute talk, starting at 6 p.m., will be followed by a 30-minute question-and-answer session with the audience.
This special event is free and open to the Duke community.
