FIP Seminar: Co-hosted with ECE "Computational imaging"

Mar 27

Wednesday, March 27, 2019

12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Fitzpatrick Center Schiciano Auditorium Side B, room 1466

Presenter

Dr. Shuo "Sean" Pang, Assistant Professor of Optics and Photonics, CREOL, University of Central Florida

Sean Pang received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Caltech. He completed his M.S. study in Biomedical Engineering at Texas A&M University and B.S. degree in Optical Engineering at Tsinghua University. His research interest is focused on developing imaging platforms for biological research, medical diagnosis, and industrial imaging applications in both visible and X-ray regimes. Computational imaging system with physical coding measures feature-specific information from the object leading to superior performance to traditional point-to-point imaging system. Our lab creates novel imaging systems by integrating new generation of sensing devices and advanced computational methods.
