Graduates celebrate during Duke University’s 2025 Commencement ceremony in Wallace Wade Stadium on May 11, 2025. Duke alumnus, board of Trustee member and former basketball star Grant Hill delivered the keynote address. Undergraduate Speaker: Danica Bajaj, a Robertson Scholar majoring in computer science and minoring in philosophy Graduate Speaker: Lucas Vaughan, who will receive a master of international development policy as well as a certificate in Middle East Studies. He will also be commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army. Religious Pluralism: Creating Space for All Faiths in the Workplace & Classroom

This training focuses on creating a respectful and inclusive environment that embraces the diverse faiths and beliefs of students, staff and faculty. Participants will explore strategies for promoting awareness, understanding and respect in the workplace while recognizing the value of diverse perspectives. The session offers practical tools for accommodating various religious practices and fostering an atmosphere where individuals can be their authentic selves without fear of discrimination or bias. By the end of this introductory training, participants will be equipped to build a more inclusive, respectful and harmonious workplace for all. *Lunch provided

Pronouncing Names From Around the World

This training is designed to help participants understand the importance of name pronunciation and overcoming self-consciousness when attempting to say names from different languages, cultures, and heritages. Participants will learn tips for working with names from Chinese, Indian, Latine, and US backgrounds and will have opportunities to practice with encouragement and coaching. Item Description

Psychological Safety & Inclusion

This training is designed to help teams create an environment where all members feel valued, respected and safe to express themselves without fear of judgment. Participants will learn strategies for building psychological safety, where open communication, collaboration and vulnerability are encouraged. The session also focuses on fostering inclusivity by recognizing diverse perspectives and ensuring everyone has an equal opportunity to contribute. By the end of the training, participants will have practical tools to enhance trust, promote respect and strengthen team dynamics for better performance and innovation.

Bridging the Gap: Working Effectively Across Generations

This training is designed to help teams navigate generational differences in the workplace with greater understanding, empathy and effectiveness. Participants will explore how varying experiences, values and communication styles across generations can shape team dynamics. The session offers practical strategies to foster mutual respect, reduce misunderstandings and promote collaboration across age groups.
