Corporations & Foundations
The Office of Corporate and Industry Relations in the Pratt School of Engineering initiates and coordinates relationships that support Duke's teaching, research, and service mission. Working with administrators, faculty, and development staff, our staff provides expertise, services, and tools to successfully connect the university with foundations, businesses, and industry.
Individual, family and corporate foundations are potential sources for research and student support. The corporate and industry relations staff can assist with general searches to match foundation priorities with research/funding needs or we can do detailed searches on specific foundations. Since access to some foundations require university clearance faculty and staff should contact (link to industry office) prior to submitting a proposal. Additional information about foundations can be found on the giving to Duke website.
Business and Industry
Corporate partners and prospective partners can learn about the variety of opportunities available to connect with the university (get in touch with Kirsten or Russell, contact info below). Our frequent contact with industry partners and our familiarity with our research capabilities uniquely position us to facilitate faculty-industry engagements. The corporate and industry relations staff is a resource for developing proposals to support faculty research, student support, centers and initiatives.
