Engineering Annual Fund
Every gift makes a difference, and you make it all possible.
The sense of community among Duke Engineers runs deep. Generations of alumni, parents, students, faculty, staff, and friends have helped make the success of the Engineering Annual Fund possible through generous contributions and participation. Gifts to the Annual Fund are unrestricted and pay for need-based financial aid grants to enroll the brightest students, programs that encourage students to apply classroom learning to real-world problems, a world-class faculty committed to student mentoring and groundbreaking research, and much more!
The Engineering Annual Fund is one of 16 schools and areas that make up the Duke Annual Fund. The Annual Fund campaign runs from July 1 to June 30 to align with Duke’s fiscal year.

Duke Forward Year of Participation
It’s the Year of Participation—help Duke Engineering finish the Duke Forward Campaign strong!
Duke University is nearing the completion of the seven-year Duke Forward Campaign and this last year ending June 30, 2017 has been dubbed the “Year of Participation!” We hope that all alumni, parents and friends will provide some type of gift for the Campaign before June 30, 2017.
A great way you can show your support is by giving to the Engineering Annual Fund. The Annual Fund essentially makes up the difference between what tuition provides and the actual cost of an engineering education. Your Annual Fund contributions are an essential component of our annual operating budget. These funds help improve our teaching laboratories, which face constantly changing technologies, as well as helping us attract the best faculty in teaching and research. Our classrooms and extracurricular opportunities also benefit from your support, enabling us to provide a top-quality learning environment for our students.
In the final weeks of Duke Forward, our goal is participation, as we continue to show our university colleagues that the Pratt School community is the strongest and most generous on campus.
If you are able to provide support for the Annual Fund, or to another area that interests you—or if you know of someone who might be willing to help—we would greatly appreciate your assistance in the coming weeks. Please contact Pratt’s Development and Alumni Relations office at 919-660-5385, email firstname.lastname@example.org or donate online.
Undergraduate alumni who make multi-year pledges to the Annual Fund will have the entirety of their commitments counted in their class’ reunion gift totals. A multi-year pledge can also help you keep track of your giving and ensure that you continue to support the Annual Fund each fiscal year.
Consistent giving is so important that Duke created a giving society to honor its most loyal Annual Fund donors. Donors who have supported the Annual Fund for five or more consecutive years are recognized as members of the Cornerstone Society. Undergraduate alumni who have supported the Annual Fund every year since graduation are further recognized as lifetime donors. Consistent giving is the cornerstone of the Annual Fund’s success!
Duke has established a number of leadership clubs to recognize its top Annual Fund donors. Membership is renewable annually and is based on Annual Fund gifts made or facilitated by an individual and his/her spouse.
