Dr. Mandy Song - Attorney at Law, Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner, LLP

Mandy Song practices patent prosecution, litigation, and client counseling. She has significant experience in a wide range of technologies, particularly image and video processing, power electronics, medical devices, telecommunication and networks, robotics, electrical control systems, electronic circuits, semiconductor devices, and software and business methods. Dr. Song has handled all aspects of patent procurement, including prosecuting hundreds of patent applications. She routinely interviews inventors to develop invention disclosures, drafts new patent applications in a broad range of complex technologies, and conducts interviews with patent examiners. In addition to her prosecution practice, Dr. Song has experience with patent litigation in U.S. federal district courts and Section 337 investigations at the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC). She provides opinions on patent infringement and validity matters and conducts due diligence and pre-litigation investigations. She also regularly counsels clients on a wide range of patent matters, including licensing. Dr. Song earned her B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Tsinghua University. She received her Ph.D and M.S. degrees from Duke University in Electrical and Computer Engineering and Biomedical Engineering respectively. She completed her J.D. at Georgetown University Law Center.
