Rethink Education: The Innovation Challenge offers undergraduates a chance to immerse themselves in new thinking about education and to compete in crafting fresh ideas for educating the next generation. At Rethink Education, students will learn firsthand from experts in the field about challenges facing education at home and abroad. Conference participants will also be asked to contribute new ideas that can bring about change. Working closely with faculty mentors, student teams will be presented with real-life problems and will be invited to design their own creative solutions. At the close of the event, an expert panel will judge the student proposals. Winning plans will be awarded prize money to help translate the ideas into real-world solutions. Whether you're a future teacher or a future doctor, a sculptor or an historian, Rethink Education welcomes your fresh thinking on this important topic. We invite and encourage applications from students in all disciplines. Attendance at the conference is limited, however, and students will be accepted on a space-available basis. Interested students can apply beginning August 26, 2013, and applications will be accepted through September 27, 2013. Watch this website for more details! Rethink Education is hosted by the Center for Child and Family Policy in partnership with the Duke University Office of Undergraduate Education and the university¿s Program in Education.
