This half-day conference will bring together speakers from across campus to discuss the challenges of interdisciplinary research. Paired speakers, covering subject areas from art to neuroscience to social networks to music, will give short presentations on their experiences with projects that bridge gaps between disciplines. Each pair of presentations will be followed by a discussion period, allowing attendees to extend the discussion to additional challenges and opportunities. Lunch will be provided in conjunction with the Visualization Friday Forum. This event is being organized in conjunction with the Places & Spaces: Mapping Science exhibit.
