4:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Bostock Library - The Edge Workshop Room

Presenter

Katy Börner

Dr. Katy Börner, curator of the Places & Spaces: Mapping Science exhibit, will give a keynote address to celebrate the opening of the exhibit at Duke. The exhibit, a collection of 100 visualizations showing the beauty and diversity of research results and processes, will be hosted at Duke between January and April, 2015. Maps are hanging in three spaces on campus: the Edge in Bostock Library, the 2nd floor of Bay 11 in Smith Warehouse, and the 3rd floor of Gross Hall. A reception following Dr. Börner's keynote will encourage exploration of the maps and conversations that cross disciplinary boundaries.
