5:15 pm - 7:00 pm
Fitzpatrick Center Schiciano Auditorium Side B

Durham-based NET Power has developed a fossil fuel-based power system that produces lower cost electricity than existing fossil fuel power systems and has no atmospheric emissions. NET Power achieves this through the use of a patented supercritical CO2 power cycle that reaches very high efficiencies. Bill Brown, CEO of NET Power and co-founder of 8 Rivers Capital, the Durham-based technology commercialization firm that invented NET Power's novel cycle, will discuss the technology and the process that led to its invention and commercialization. The entire Duke Community is invited: faculty, undergraduates, graduate students, and staff.
