Jeffrey S. Mueller, Ph.D., Chief Designer at Board-Level Designs, LLC

Biography: Dr. Jeffrey S. Mueller obtained his Bachelors of Electrical Engineering and Bachelors of Computer Science from Duke University in 1988. With a focus on circuit applications and image processing, he continued his engineering studies at the University of Pennsylvania and earned an MSEE in 1990. Subsequently, Dr. Mueller worked as a Member of the Technical Staff for the MITRE Corporation's Department of Signal Processing until 1993, when he returned to the Research Triangle to pursue graduate studies in the electronic aspects of medical implant technology. While at North Carolina State (Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering) and Duke (NSF Center for Emerging Cardiac Technologies) Universities Dr. Mueller obtained a Ph.D. EE in 1999 from the former, along with two US patents. He also holds a minor in Biomedical Engineering at the Ph.D. level. During the past 14 years, Dr. Mueller has worked extensively with companies in the semiconductor industry that include Cadence Design Systems, Maxim Integrated Products, Texas Instruments, and Triad Semiconductor.Currently, Dr. Mueller is Chief Designer at Board-Level Designs, LLC-- a hands-on company he started in late 2010 to design and prototype circuit-board-level instrumentation solutions for analog and embedded applications in a variety of industries. He also serves as Vice Chairman for the Winston-Salem Section of the IEEE.
