This seminar will examine 10 big factors that VCs assess when deciding whether to fund a company. John Oxaal graduated with a degree in BME in 1976. During the course of his career he has been on the founding team of 7 enterprises. In 1992, he co-founded Volumetrics Medical Imaging with Duke BME professors Olaf von Ramm and Stephen Smith. Volumetrics pioneered the development of real-time 3D ultrasound. In 1999, he joined Sevin Rosen Funds in Palo Alto CA where he led the institutional VC financing for 12 companies.
