Long & Darling Wins NIH Fellowships

CBTE postdoctoral fellows David Long in Biomedical Engineering, and Eric Darling in the Department of Surgery for winning prestigious NIH National Research Service Award fellowships. Long will continue his work with BME Professor Mort Friedman to study the interactions of biomechanics and genomics in atherosclerosis. Darling will continue his work with professors Farshid Guilak and Stefan Zauscher studying the mechanical properties of living cells using atomic force microscopy. We also welcome three new postdocs to the CBTE-NIH training program, Kyle Allen working with Professor Lori Setton, Michelle Nunalee working with Professor Tosh Chilkoti, and Ninita Brown working with Professor Joe Izatt.
