Wednesday, March 22, 2017

8:30 am - 9:30 am
Mumma Commons (3rd Floor, CIEMAS Building)

You are invited to an "Open House" informational session to learn about the Integrative Bioinformatics for Investigating and Engineering Microbiomes (IBIEM) graduate training program at Duke. IBIEM is a NSF funded interdisciplinary graduate training program between Duke University and North Carolina A&T State University which brings together graduate students from various fields with an interest in microbiome research. The IBIEM educational model aims to transcend communication barriers between disciplines and promote team science. Graduate students in microbiology, engineering and other empirical sciences will be cross-trained with theorists, model builders and computational scientists. Further information can be located in the IBIEM flyer (https://tinyurl.com/z2flbby) and the IBIEM website (http://ibiem.pratt.duke.edu/).
